Which candy is more disgusting, circus peanuts or candy corn?
![]() 10/30/2018 at 17:52 |
|
Circus Peanuts are like edible packing peanuts. Definitely the grosser choice, I would say this even if I didn’t like candy corn, but since I DO like candy corn it’s no contest at all.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 17:52 |
|
Circus Peanuts by far
![]() 10/30/2018 at 17:55 |
|
I have tasted the corn-based edible packing peanuts. At least those are neutral.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 17:56 |

Peanuts, candy corn is a delicious seasonal treat.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 17:57 |

I actually like candy corn, but only like one handful a year. But circus peanuts aren’t even food. That’s a packing material that somebody ate once on a dare.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 17:57 |
|
Circus Peanuts were always gross .
Since when did candy corn get a bad rap, I love that shit.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 17:57 |

One is styrofoam, the other is wax. There is no lesser of two evils here.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 17:58 |
|
Circus peanuts. They’re just extruded non-toxic foam.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:00 |
|
ive never had either of those
now if the choice was between actual peanuts and corn on the cob... i could be of some use
corn on the cob is the yellow devil and should be avoided at any cost
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:04 |
|
“edible”?
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:05 |
|
Circus peanuts are worse.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:05 |
|
Molded sweet foam vs molded sweet wax. I guess it’s dependent on how your lower GI tract is feeling.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:06 |
|
Circus peanuts. Eww.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:06 |
|
Circus peanuts are vile and disgusting.
I’m not a huge candy corn fan - I don’t hate it, but don’t particularly like it, either. But whoever invented circus peanuts should be tried for crimes against humanity.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:10 |
|
I dont think I have ever heard of circus peanuts. Candy corn isnt half bad, but im not really a fan of any non-chocolate candy. So pretty much everything is either chocolate or it’ s crap to me.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:11 |
|
Well, when you finally come to the US, I recommend going out of your way to NOT try either of those things.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:12 |

roger wilco
im happy to oblige
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:16 |
|
definitely circus peanuts
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:18 |
|
Yes, there are biodegradable packing puffs. They taste like corn puffs without flavoring, which they essentially are. They melt to a mush in water.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:19 |
|
Corn on the cob if wonderful. You are no longer welcome in my country.
Well, unless you bring me beer. Then you are welcome.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:20 |
|
I wasn’t challenging that - I was challenging whether or not Circus Peanuts were actually edible.
10/30/2018 at 18:20 |
|
Supposedly, if you make your own, candy corn is decent. I have never found myself wanting to make my own candy, but there we are.

i wasnt anyway.....aquired a criminal record since i visited last
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:21 |
|
That is a defensible position. Circus peanuts have become less common in recent years, but they’re still around, waiting to poison unsuspecting youngsters.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:21 |
|
i might have to try that, if i do ill post an oppo review
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:22 |
|
I actually think the candy pumpkins are better than the corn for some reason.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:22 |
|
This is the correct response.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:22 |
|
“non-toxic”?
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:22 |
|
Edible packaging material! That’s a feature.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:24 |
|
Candy corn is multi-faceted in that it’s used to make decorations in classrooms and moms doing their craft things. Circus peanuts have no claim to that fame.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:24 |
|
I agree with you on that.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:24 |
|
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:27 |
|
That’s true. I use left-over corn on the gingerbread house.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:28 |
|
Nah, I’m going to pass on that. Thanks, though.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:28 |
|
I’m shocked to hear that. Shocked, I tell you.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:29 |
|
Oh, right. Well, I’m not sure we can answer that without the autopsy.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:32 |
|
I like candy corn
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:32 |
|
like play doh or propylene glycol
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:35 |
|
We’ll need a test subject with some very specific characteristics.
Specifically, that subject has to not be me.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:36 |
|
I forgive you.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:37 |
|
I’ll take your word for that.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:38 |
|
No one with a soul would approve that IRB.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:39 |

“Then feed my sheep [candy corn]”
Pretty famous bible verse, look it up.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:41 |
|
I like candy corn - not sure why - and tolerate circus peanuts. Circus peanuts, by just a bit.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:41 |
|
I once made a gingerbread TARDIS.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:41 |
|
Sidenote: I once tried to get some longhorns to eat circus peanuts. The attempt was unsuccessful.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:43 |
|
But how do they stack up vs. corn starch packing peanuts? Having eaten both, I give a slight edge to packing peanuts for being salty with an interesting mouth feel.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:44 |
|
I actually like candy corn, and the closely related candy pumpkins, but only in small doses, too much and I get sick of it. I’m ambivalent toward circus peanuts, couldn’t tell you when I last had one, and I don’t think I cared for it.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:44 |
|
Neither. I like both.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:47 |
|
I can agree with that. I had a girlfriend once who I called pumpkin because she loved candy pumpkins.... also she was round and orange. Okay I lied about the orange part
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:48 |
|
I recall as a child getting plastic easter eggs with bible quotes in them. Or with a few pennies. Those were definitely the worst item to receive on Halloween haha. I never did remember which houses gave out junk like that so it would repeat every year pretty reliably.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 18:57 |
|
I have to choose?
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:01 |
|
Circus Peanuts are the actual worst. I’ll eat a handful of candy corn once a year.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:17 |
|
Candy corn is good for the first three pieces then it gets gross
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:21 |
|
Well, at least you’re not trying to justify it.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:22 |
|
Pretty sure feeding candy corn to unsuspecting sheep is a mortal sin.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:23 |
|
Of course you did. I’d expect nothing less.
SR20 would be cool.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:24 |
|
The UT students or the cattle?
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:24 |
|
Candy corn isn’t actually that bad (small quantities) but Circus Peanuts are inexcusable. They shouldn’t even be used as packing peanuts I hate them so much!
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:25 |
|
You’re mind blocked it out as a defense mechanism.

![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:26 |

Probably, much like a couple of summers in the ‘00s I’ve recently discovered I’m missing.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:27 |
|
I would have believed you about the orange part. I’ve known people who used that artificial tan stuff.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:29 |
|
That’s unforgivable, both the screwing kids that way and the seasonal faux pas of using Easter eggs for Halloween.
The appropriate trick is to blast Martha Stewart specials on full volume at their house through the night.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:29 |
|
I also chew on pen caps and ate a few legos as a kid...
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:29 |
|
No, you can vomit at both.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:30 |

da dun tssh!
The cattle. My dad had some outside Houston for ag exemption on some land, long story, yadda yadda. The most important thing here, though, is that cattle aren’t fond of sweetened colored foam .
...but some humans are?
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:32 |
|
Pretty much the norm.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:35 |

Floatation devices, perhaps.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:35 |

It’s for the best.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:37 |

I fed fruit roll-ups to my horse, and they liked them. Maybe a species difference, but I choose to just believe that animals like candy just fine and are simply smarter than some people.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:38 |

If you jump up and down the right way, maybe they’ll lock together and you can pass them harmlessly.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:41 |
|
NO!
![]() 10/30/2018 at 19:54 |

I like candy corn. Whoever came up with circus peanuts should have been forced to eat them every day forever.

Circus peanuts are like eating the packing peanuts. Disgusting, disappointing, and depressing.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 20:04 |
|
Maybe that’s why no one will cop to it
https://www.eater.com/2015/10/24/9595684/what-are-circus-peanuts-penny-candy .
![]() 10/30/2018 at 20:05 |

No, they are far worse. Packing peanuts are merely flavorless and undigestible. Circus peanuts have that sickly pseudo-banana flavoring added.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 20:07 |
|
For real though can we just talk about how the candy pumpkins are the best Halloween candy
![]() 10/30/2018 at 20:10 |
|
They are not chocolate; so, by definition no. They are also waxy and over-sweet sugar blobs. So, again, no.
For some reason I can not figure out, though, I like them better than the corn.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 20:12 |
|
The corn has almost no flavor to it. These actually have some flavor.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 20:15 |
|
That’s some demon fruit!
![]() 10/30/2018 at 20:16 |

I love circus peanuts. I will not buy them.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 20:39 |

Neither, make this recipe instead:

You are welcome!

Packing Peanuts...I mean...Circus Peanuts, hands down. Not only is Candy Corn superior, it also comes in variety.
But...I’ll take some Mellowcreme Pumpkins over either one any day. Quite similar to candy corn, but I prefer the texture of the pumpkins.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 21:29 |
|
No we can not, because it would be a lie, an awful, awful lie.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 21:30 |
|
I LOVE CANDY CORN!!!
![]() 10/30/2018 at 21:34 |
|
Those were magical for me when I first noticed them.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 22:25 |
|
I mean, they're both utterly horrible and disgusting. I give the edge to circus peanuts. They have a horrible texture in addition to horrible taste.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 22:31 |
|
That explains a lot ...
;)
![]() 10/30/2018 at 22:50 |
|
Candy corn is far worse.
![]() 10/30/2018 at 23:13 |
|
I am clearly in the minority here. Candy corn is actually the earwax deposits harvested from the ear canals of Satan himself. Circus peanuts are delightful, at least until half of the bag is eaten and the cloying sweetness has triggered diabetes.
![]() 10/31/2018 at 08:48 |
|
Overheard in Target:
“Hey mom. Can we get some more candy corn?”
I wanted to add, “...said NO ONE EVER.” but I felt bad insulting a child’s tastes.
![]() 10/31/2018 at 11:43 |

Should have called CPS. That kid’s been abused.

I actually think the mallow creme tastes entirely different.

It looks good. I’ll show it to my wife. She’s the one who likes candy corn.
